With the advent of new “low cost” airline links direct from many European countries to Sardinia it is now far more easily and economically accessible. Also the majority of the scheduled flights operate all year round. In addition to the scheduled international and domestic flights listed here many tour operators offer charter flights in the summer period. Driving directions from Alghero airport to Bosa, Castelsardo & Stintino.
By Sea: Arbatax, Cagliari, Olbia, Porto Torres
Ferries operate from Arbatax, Cagliari, Golfo Aranci, Olbia, Palau, Porto Torres and Santa Teresa linking Sardinia with mainland Italy, France, Corsica and Sicily. There are also a number of shorter crossings between Sardinia and the smaller islands.
The majority of these routes only operate in the traditional summer season (April-end September). On the longer crossings daytime and overnight crossings are available.
