Find your Hotel In Sardinia.

We have a wide selection of hotels from the relatively cheap to luxury, in historic coastal towns, in the countryside and in beach resorts. Often visitors to Sardinia are surprised at its size: roughly the same as Wales and therefore we have grouped the hotel locations into five areas;

North West (Alghero) North East (Olbia)
West (Oristano) South (Cagliari) East (Arbatax)

You can book your hotel on line with secure credit card transactions (you only pay on arrival) with our selected partner Booking.com. To find hotel details and location maps just select your location of interest on the map marker or from the detailed listings below.

A Hotel in North West Sardinia (Alghero Airport)

The simplest choice for those who don't wish to drive is Alghero itself. However for this reason it is busier and more touristic than other areas. Castelsardo is an interesting alternative in the centre of the north coast and therefore a good base for exploring the whole of the north of the island. Stintino has one of the most photogenic beaches in Europe, but can get busy in main season (and very quiet in low season). In between these are a number of beach resort areas to the west of Alghero (towards Capo Caccia) and along the north coast beyond Castelsardo including; Isola Rossa, Badesi, & Valledoria .

A Hotel in North East Sardinia (Olbia/Golfo Aranci)

Known throughout the world as the playground of the rich and famous the Costa Smeralda centred around Porto Cervo has some stunning hotels (beware the prices can also be, particularly in main season). West lies the resorts around Arzachena including Baja Sardinia and Cannigione. South near Golfo Aranci is Porto Rotondo; home to Silvio Berlusconi's grand villa where the Blairs, Boris Johnson and Valerie Putin, amongst others, have holidayed.

Beyond these exclusive areas are the pretty ports of Palau with ferries to La Maddalena and Santa Teresa di Gallura with ferries to Corsica. Olbia itself is obviously convenient when arriving by ferry or plane but you may prefer a hotel in one of the resorts on the coast just south of the city including Porto San Paolo, Pittulongu &, Coda Cavallo. A little further south we have hotels in the resorts of Budoni and San Teodoro. For a total change of scenery the inland mountain town of Tempio Pausania offers beautiful scenery around and is the home to country hotels which can be a good touring base.

A Hotel in West Sardinia

Bosa is an attractive historic town; less commercially developed than Alghero, with most of the old town stretching alongside the Temo river. The beach area of Bosa Marina is 1.5-2km away at the river's estuary.

In and around Oristano offers a good base for a more rural hotel either on the coast or inland and could be a good base for exploring the west of Sardinia including the nearby Roman site of Tharros.

Iglesias and the surrounding areas offer easy access both to the islands of Sant'Antioco and San Pietro or, in the opposite direction the Sardinian regional capital of Cagliari.

A Hotel in East Sardinia (Arbatax Port)

The east of Sardinia offers hotels in areas with both beautiful coastal and countryside locations, the area is popular not only for beaches but also for climbing and trekking. Cala Gonone is a sophisticated small town notable as the main point for boats to the caves of Bue Marino and isolated beaches in the area.

Orosei is a nice small historic town and whilst just inland, has a number of hotels in resort areas nearby. Other small resorts and hotels can be found around the port of strong>Arbatax, Barisardo and Muravera.

A Hotel in South Sardinia (Cagliari Airport & Port)

Most visitors to the south of Sardinia arrive at Cagliari a historically and culturally interesting city, staying at a hotel here for a couple of days could make an ideal city and beach combination. The option then is either to head east for a hotel near Sardinia's south east tip at Villasimius or along the coast to the west of Cagliari.

Along the south west coast are various resorts starting at Pula (adjacent to the Roman site at Nora)and on along the coast through Domus de Maria and Sant'Anna Arresi before arriving at the islands off Sardinia's south west; Sant'Antioco and San Pietro.
