Characteristic beautiful red stone outcrop against the blue sea gives "Isola Rossa" its name. A traditional fishing village which has now become one of the nicest tourist resorts in the area, with a sandy beach overlooking a beautiful bay. To the far end of the town, you will find the pretty harbour area and sandy adjoining beach. It is a pleasant place for dining with its restaurants, pizzerias, and cafes. Isola Rossa offers, diving centres, wind surfing schools and of course excellent boat trips. A short (5 minute) walk up from here will lead you to the 16th century watchtower, from where you can see the rocky coastline on the other side.
