Attractive Historic Centre

Cathedral San Giacomo	Piazza del Popolo	Courtyard of Sant' Antonio	Sas Animas & Old Prison

A pleasant place to visit for a day-trip or as a base for visiting the surrounding beaches and natural attractions. The 18th century “Cattedrale di San Giacomo Maggiore” and 17th century “Chiesa dell Rosario” are on opposite sides of The “Piazza del Popolo”. Orosei is a pleasant spot with a bar for a relaxing drink. Nearby is the “Piazza Sas Animas” which contains another church and old prison building. On the edge of Orosei is the “Chiesa di San’ Antonio” which is a 15th century church with pilgrim dwelling houses and a Pisan watchtower behind. Heading towards Cala Gonone is the Grotto di Ispinigoli (38m stalagmite)
