Citrus Producing Towns & Beaches

San Giovanni Marina	Muravera Torre Salinas	Porto Corallo Villaputzu	Rocky Cove

The area around Muravera and Villaputzu is famous for the cultivation of citrus fruit and even in spring has its own Festa dedicated to it "Sagra di Agrumi" Both of these towns are traditional towns with numerous attractive not overly busy beaches along this stretch of coast. In the area around Muravera megalithic monuments such as the aligned stones at Piscina Rei and the Funtana Coberta. It is well known for It has beautiful beaches: San Giovanni and further south Torre Salinas. Near Villaputzu is the 17th century Porto Corallo Torre built to protect this landing point. To its left are rocky coves that continue to the main beach of Porto Corallo.
