Nora reputedly was of Phoenician origin and then fell under Carthaganian and after the Punic wars Roman control. The remains you can see today are from the Roman period when it was an important settlements and had close links with "Karalis" (modern day Cagliari). The site itself is extensive and includes remains of the thermal baths, the theatre and some limited remains dating from the Carthaginian period. Nora is located near the modern day resort town of Pula, where you will also find the "Civico Museo Archeologico" which has displays of aretfacts from Nora.
