| Port & Town Panorama | Mountain View | Coastal Road | Cala Gonone Beach |
Cala Gonone is a lively sophisticated portal town with numerous hotels, restaurants and bars. The drive into the town is dramatic itself (particularly if you take the winding road from the north). Cala Gonone has its' own beach near the lively port area but is perhaps best known as the staging point for boats to the inaccessible caves, coves and beaches to the south. Boats and canoes can be hired here and there are also organised boat trips to the Bue Marino and beaches. It is also a starting point for trekking and climbing activities thanks to its mountainous coastal location.

| Cala Gonone Port & Beach | Cala Fuili Beach | Countryside Grotta di Ispinigoli |
Cala Fruili beach is accessible along the road south of Cala Gonone and is also the starting point for hilly treks into the countryside and along the dramatic coastline, The Grotta del Bue Marino is definitely worth visiting (in high season advance booking may be required) and is a dramatic walk of about a kilometre from Cala Gonone through adjoining cave areas with remarkably mirror like reflections in the water. North towards Orosei is the Grotta di Ispinigoli which features a 38m stalagmite, with organised tours for 10 months a year. Unfortunately no photography is allowed inside.
