| Chiesa di Santa Cristina | Nuraghe | Well Temple | Interior of Nuraghe |
A remarkable combination of an ancient nuraghic "well" temple (1000BC), remains of a nuraghic settlement and a 13th century church with surrounding monks' houses. When you first enter you find yourself in front of the Chiesa di Santa Cristina, only open for the festas of Santa Cristina (May) and San Raffaele (October). A few hundred metres to the left is the well temple, formed of accurately cut stones that suggest it is far more recent than its age, descending the steps you can then look up the well tower. Apparently its orientation means that on the equinox the sun completely lights the stairway. A short walk into the woods is the nuraghic settlement with central tower.
