Near Santadi with its' entrance on the side of Monte Meana, Grotte is Zuddas trace there origins back hundreds of millions of years. If you enter from the summer heat you will find it distinctly cool in here (regular temperature of 16°C irrespective of season). There are some steps and inclines along the approximately 0.5 km guided tour. As you progress through the various themed "rooms" you can observe various stalagmite and stalactite phenomena and curious and intriguing formations. Of particular note are the "eccentric" Aragoniti Eccentriche whose directions of formation defy gravity and are apparently unique to Grotte Is Zuddas.
